0 ft 2 of fishing net recycled

January 02, 2016

We are proud to report that our Net Positiva fishing net recycling program collected over 50 tonnes (110,000 pounds) of fishing nets from 16 communities in 2015. Continuing to gain traction in Chile, our program earned recognition from the US Department of State and was awarded an innovation award and grant funding from the Chilean Government.

We would like to thank all of our supporters who continue to fuel Net Positiva and our efforts on the ground in Chile. Thanks to our collection managers Caco and Manuel for their dedication to the program, all the participating communities and fisherman for embracing Net Positiva, our local non-profit partner in Chile  Fundación El Árbol , the Chilean Government and Patagonia Works for their continued support, and our production partners at Karun Eyewear for embracing innovation!

We are excited to continue growing our impacts, and we are looking forward to making waves in 2016!
